This is a full time role based in our offices in Pune, India.

Why This Role Matters

As Hansen continues to scale its commercial operations, accurate, connected data is critical to better customer and growth decisions. This newly created role will build the foundations of Hansen’s commercial data and insights capability from the ground up. There is no commercial analytics capability and no central data platform in place today, so you will design the data model, the pipelines that feed it and the reporting built on top, drawing on CRM, marketing automation, finance and other commercial systems.

During the first 12 months you will partner closely with IT and business stakeholders to design and implement the data infrastructure, data flows, metric definitions, reporting standards and self-service dashboards the organisation needs. Alongside that you will own the standing commercial reporting cycle and the calculation and reporting of variable compensation outcomes against approved plans.

As those foundations mature, the work extends into more advanced analysis, using Python, SQL and statistical techniques to develop predictive insight, identify customer trends and inform commercial strategy. This is a genuine opportunity to create the role, shape the technology and establish a new capability, with visible business impact.

What You’ll Do





- Build the commercial data and insights capability from the ground up, defining the roadmap, architecture, governance and delivery priorities.
- Design and build the database structures, data pipelines and integrations needed to connect CRM, marketing automation, finance and other commercial data, working with IT and implementation partners where platform work is required.
- Create scalable dashboards and self-service reporting for Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Finance, covering pipeline, bookings, renewals, expansion, churn and customer performance.
- Use SQL and Python to extract, clean, combine and analyse complex datasets, improving data quality and reducing manual reporting.
- Establish consistent commercial metrics, data definitions and controls so leaders can work from one trusted source of information.
- Calculate and report variable compensation outcomes against approved plans and quotas, with a documented audit trail and appropriate handling of confidential data.
- Develop customer insight and performance diagnostics that support forecasting, segmentation, retention, net revenue retention and growth decisions.
- As the core data workplace takes hold, extend the capability towards predictive modelling, trend analysis and more advanced decision support.

What You Bring

- Strong hands-on Python and SQL, with real experience preparing, transforming, reconciling and analysing data across more than one source system.
- Experience designing and building data models, database structures and data pipelines, rather than only building dashboards on a model somebody else owns.
- Commercial or revenue analytics experience in B2B software or SaaS, owning the reporting for a sales and marketing organisation rather than contributing to it.
- Strong knowledge of CRM data structures, data quality and integrations.



Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI is an advantage rather than a requirement.
- Experience working with IT, data engineering or technical teams to define requirements and deliver data pipelines, interfaces or connected data environments.
- Proficiency with a modern BI tool, ideally Power BI, and the ability to translate stakeholder needs into intuitive, scalable dashboards.
- Experience with a cloud data platform such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks or Snowflake, and with statistical or predictive techniques applied to commercial problems, would be an advantage.
- A builder’s mindset: comfortable creating a new capability, working through ambiguity, and building the foundations before the advanced analysis.
- Comfort working in a distributed function across India, UK and US time zones, with a reporting line outside India.
