About the Role

JAS Worldwide is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead and implement the technical execution of our cybersecurity program. This hands-on role works closely with Global IT and third-party partners to design and deploy security capabilities across infrastructure, cloud, and threat management.

This role reports to the Global Sr. Director of IT Security and works second shift to collaborate with Europe and US East Coast teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and operate security controls across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure
- Harden Linux/Windows OS, virtualization platforms, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and network infrastructure
- Implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Next-Gen Firewalls (NGFW), micro-segmentation, and secure cloud landing zones
- Deploy and operationalize Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/SOAR
- Author KQL detection rules and conduct KQL-based threat hunting
- Manage vulnerability management, baseline compliance scanning, and remediation tracking
- Act as Tier-3 escalation point for complex security incidents
- Serve as cybersecurity advisor to IT teams — Microsoft E5 stack, Entra ID Protection, MDI, Conditional Access, Purview, Defender for Cloud Apps
- Guide IT on PAM, MFA, and Conditional Access policies
- Enforce DLP, key management, and storage encryption

Qualifications

- 8–10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience
- Hands-on security engineering in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Deep understanding of networking protocols, enterprise firewalls, EDR/XDR, SIEM platforms
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Microsoft Defender XDR (E5) — MDE, MDI, Defender for Cloud Apps, Sentinel
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Ability to work 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST
- Available for hybrid working from Gurugram office
