CONTENT STRATEGISTCompany: Wildpunch Design
Location: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Work Mode: On-site
Employment Type: Full-time
About WildpunchWildpunch is a branding and marketing agency working with brands across strategy, design, digital communication and creative marketing.
We are looking for a Content Strategist who can understand brands beyond individual posts and campaigns — someone who can translate business objectives, audience insights and cultural trends into strong content strategies, creative directions and communication ideas.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, content, creativity and brand communication.
Role OverviewAs a Content Strategist at Wildpunch, you will be responsible for developing the content direction for brands across social media, digital platforms and campaigns.
You should be able to understand a brand's personality, audience, positioning and business objectives and convert them into relevant content pillars, campaigns, communication ideas and actionable content calendars.
You will work closely with copywriters, designers, motion designers, social media teams and account/brand managers to ensure that ideas are not only strategically robust but also executed effectively.
This is not simply a content-calendar management role.
We are looking for someone who can answer:
What should this brand talk about?
Why should the audience care?
How should the brand communicate it?
And how can we turn that thinking into compelling creative content?
Key Responsibilities1.
Content
Strategy & Brand Understanding
- Develop comprehensive content strategies for multiple brands across different industries.
- Deeply understand each brand's positioning, personality, audience, competition and communication objectives.
- Define clear content pillars, themes, formats and communication territories for brands.
- Translate brand strategies and marketing objectives into content strategies that teams can execute.
- Identify opportunities for brands to build stronger relevance, recall and differentiation through content.
- Ensure every piece of communication remains aligned with the larger brand positioning.
- Creative Direction & Ideation
- Develop strong creative directions and communication concepts for brands.
- Conceptualise social media campaigns, digital campaigns, topical communication and brand initiatives.
- Generate campaign ideas that can extend across multiple formats including static creatives, reels, films, carousels, stories and digital activations.
- Work with creative teams to convert strategic thinking into visually and verbally powerful communication.
- Push teams beyond repetitive or template-driven social media content.
- Content Calendar Planning
- Develop monthly and campaign-based content calendars for brands.
- Create a strong balance between:
- Brand-building content
- Product/service communication
- Educational content
- Engagement-led content
- Cultural and topical content
- Campaign-led communication
- Performance-oriented content
- Ensure calendars have a clear strategic narrative rather than functioning as isolated posts.
- Write clear content briefs explaining the objective, communication idea, format and expected execution.
- Consumer & Trend Understanding
- Understand the audience each brand is communicating with — their interests, behaviours, aspirations and digital habits.
- Regularly study social media, culture, category trends and emerging content formats.
- Identify relevant trends without blindly following every viral format.
- Understand what is happening within a client's category and how competing brands are communicating.
- Bring fresh references, campaigns, creators, brands and cultural observations into creative discussions.
- Campaign Development
- Work on campaign strategy from brief to execution.
- Interpret client briefs and convert them into clear communication opportunities.
- Develop:
- Campaign thought
- Communication direction
- Content architecture
- Key messaging
- Social media extensions
- Content formats and executions
- Think beyond individual creatives and build ideas that can become larger brand properties or campaigns.
- Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with:
Copywriters To establish the right messaging, tonality, hooks, scripts and storytelling.
Designers & Motion Designers To communicate the creative vision and ensure visual execution supports the strategy.
Brand/Account Managers To understand client requirements, business objectives, feedback and campaign timelines.
Digital Marketing Team To understand content performance and identify opportunities for performance-led creative communication.
You should be comfortable bringing different departments together around one clear creative direction.
- Brief Creation & Execution
- Convert client or internal briefs into structured, actionable creative briefs.
- Give designers and writers enough strategic clarity to develop stronger work.
- Clearly define:
- Objective → Audience → Insight → Communication Idea → Content Format → Expected Outcome
- Review creative outputs and ensure execution remains true to the original strategic direction.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve copy, design and storytelling.
- Presentations & Client Communication
- Present strategies, campaigns and content directions confidently to internal teams and clients.
- Clearly explain the thinking behind an idea instead of simply presenting creative executions.
- Defend ideas logically while remaining open to feedback and collaboration.
- Convert complex strategic thinking into simple and persuasive presentations.
What We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate should:
- Have a strong understanding of branding, digital content and social media communication.
- Think strategically but also understand creative execution.

- Be able to differentiate between a trend and a meaningful brand opportunity.
- Have strong conceptual and storytelling abilities.
- Be comfortable handling multiple brands simultaneously.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
