ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Cold Chain Operations Associate to join our team in Baddi and help build and manage SNOWCO's pharmaceutical cold-chain operations. You will work closely with the Head of Cold Chain Operations and play a hands-on role across shipment planning, transportation, warehousing, partner management, temperature monitoring and customer operations. This is an opportunity to work close to the actual movement of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products while helping build the processes and network behind a growing cold-chain business.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Cold Chain Operations
- Coordinate end-to-end movement of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical shipments.
- Plan pickups, transportation and deliveries across key pharma corridors.
- Coordinate with reefer operators, 3PLs, warehouses and local transportation partners.
- Monitor shipment status and temperature data throughout the journey.
- Identify and escalate delays, temperature excursions and operational issues.
- Ensure shipments are handled according to defined temperature and service requirements.
- Coordinate documentation, proof of delivery and shipment records.
Network & Route Planning
- Support the development of SNOWCO's Baddi-origin logistics network.
- Map shipment flows between pharmaceutical manufacturers, warehouses, distributors and healthcare markets.
- Support evaluation of routes, transit times, shipment frequency and transportation requirements.
- Help determine the appropriate operating model across different corridors.
- Support decisions around reefer transportation, passive packaging and warehousing.
Partner Management
- Identify and coordinate with transportation and cold-storage partners.
- Evaluate partner capabilities, service levels and operational performance.
- Monitor partner performance and resolve recurring operational issues.
- Support onboarding of current logistics and infrastructure partners.
- Build strong working relationships with on-ground operators.
Customer Operations
- Work with pharmaceutical customers to understand shipment requirements.
- Coordinate customer pickups, deliveries and operational requests.
- Understand product-specific temperature requirements and service levels.
- Support customer onboarding and implementation.
- Maintain clear communication throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Quality & Temperature Control
- Support temperature-monitoring processes for controlled shipments.
- Track temperature data and identify potential excursions.
- Coordinate escalation and documentation of temperature deviations.
- Support development and implementation of operational SOPs.
- Work closely with quality teams and partners on pharma-handling requirements.
Data & Performance
- Track shipment performance, delivery timelines and operational exceptions.
- Monitor transportation and warehouse utilization.
- Maintain operational dashboards and reports.
- Identify recurring bottlenecks and opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Support analysis of route economics and operating costs.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- 3-6 years of experience in pharma logistics, cold-chain logistics, healthcare logistics, 3PL, transportation or a related field.
- Hands-on experience coordinating logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of transportation and distribution processes.
- Experience managing external logistics partners.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive shipments simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills across customers, vendors and internal teams.
- Comfortable working with Excel, operational dashboards and data.
Preferred
- Experience with pharmaceutical or temperature-sensitive products.
- Experience with 2-8°C shipments.
- Experience working with reefer transportation.
- Experience with cold-storage or pharmaceutical warehousing.
- Familiarity with temperature monitoring and excursion management.
- Familiarity with GDP principles and pharmaceutical quality requirements.
- Experience working in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh pharmaceutical ecosystem.
- Existing relationships with local logistics or transportation providers.

You should be comfortable moving between the operational details of a shipment and the larger question of how the network should work.
You might spend one morning coordinating a temperature-controlled shipment and the afternoon evaluating a new transportation partner or planning a recent corridor.
COMPENSATION
₹20-28 LPA, depending on experience and seniority.
