Job Title: Senior Associate - Fund Accounting (Private Equity)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate Fund Accounting to handle end-to-end accounting for Private Equity funds. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in LPGP accounting, capital activities, investor reporting, and hedge fund NAV processes, along with a strong understanding of alternative investment structures.

Key Responsibilities:

- End-to-End Fund Accounting: Execute Private Equity fund accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and NAV calculations.
- Capital & Investor Activities: Prepare and review Capital Call notices, distributions, redemptions, and investor statements.
- Partner Capital Accounts: Maintain and reconcile PCAP (Partners Capital Accounts) for LPs and GPs in PE funds.
- LP–GP Accounting: Manage LP–GP allocations, profit sharing, expense allocations, and management fee calculations.
- Waterfall & NAV Management: Support and execute waterfall calculations per fund agreements. Handle PE fund NAV-related activities, including cash & position reconciliations, P&L; calculations, and expense accruals.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:



Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements compliant with relevant accounting standards. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and strict alignment with fund governing documents and SLAs.
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, guide, and support team members while driving process improvements. Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, fund administrators, and clients for smooth delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Experience: 5+ years of core experience in Private Equity Accounting.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Capital Calls, Redemptions, PCAP, Waterfall calculations, Hedge Fund NAV, reconciliations, and investor reporting.
- Domain Knowledge: Robust understanding of PE fund structures, LP–GP accounting, and hedge fund operations.
- Leadership: Proven team-handling experience.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Work Setup: Must be willing to work full-time on-site at our Kolkata office.
- Preferences (Plus Points): CA / MBA (Finance) / relevant finance background, experience working with global clients, and familiarity with fund accounting systems and investor tools.
