We're Hiring | Senior Associate Advocate – Litigation | Kolkata

Kshetry & Co. is expanding its litigation team and is inviting applications from dedicated and experienced Senior Associate Advocates with strong practical experience and a passion for litigation.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of continuous practical experience in litigation and court practice.

Eligibility: Must be enrolled with the Bar Council and have substantial hands-on experience in handling litigation matters independently.

Location: Kolkata

Courts & Forums:

The position involves handling matters before Bankshall Court, Sealdah Court, Alipore Court, Barasat Court, Barrackpore Court, and other nearby district/lower courts, as well as the Hon'ble Calcutta High Court.

Lower Courts – Responsibilities:

- Independent court appearances and matter handling
- Moving matters and advancing proceedings
- Handling civil and criminal litigation
- Drafting petitions, applications, affidavits, and legal notices
- Case preparation and client coordination
- Conducting arguments before the courts

Calcutta High Court – Responsibilities:

- Handling Writ Petitions, CRR, CRM, CO, PIL,



police inaction matters, and other civil and criminal matters before the Hon'ble Calcutta High Court
- Drafting and vetting petitions
- Matter moving and court appearances
- Legal research and case strategy
- Briefing senior counsel where required
- Conducting hearings and arguments

Essential Skills:

- Strong knowledge of court procedures and litigation practice
- Excellent drafting and legal research skills
- Ability to independently prepare, handle, and conduct cases
- Professional communication and commitment to deadlines
- Practical experience in handling matters from filing to final disposal
- Strong courtroom presence and litigation management skills
- Managing & guiding junior associates
- Overall case starteegy & management
