Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced GIS Developer with strong expertise in administering and developing solutions on the Enterprise ArcGIS platform. The successful candidate will design, develop, deploy, and support GIS solutions while working closely with the GIS team, clients, and project stakeholders.

You will take ownership of technical delivery using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, FME, Esri JavaScript API, and VertiGIS products, while maintaining high standards of quality, documentation, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Safety

- Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risks.

- Apply excellent knowledge of the Esri suite of products.
- Apply excellent knowledge of the VertiGIS Studio products.




- Code and script effectively with Python and JavaScript.
- Develop GIS solutions including ETL, FME, and other Esri COTS applications.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Apply experience in quality assurance, test strategies, test automation, and developing test scripts to maintain a clean code base.
- Apply knowledge of modern DevOps principles and agile software methodologies.
- Document developed spatial solutions effectively as per the Corporate Management System standards.
- Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills including testing, debugging, support, and maintenance.

Business Relationships

- Engage proactively with the GIS team and address their requests and tickets promptly.
- Collaborate proactively with the Group Manager GIS and the One DCS wider team for the success of GIS initiatives.

Governance

- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes.
- Contribute to instituting the GIS standardisation of processes as needed.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

- Working experience in Administering Enterprise ArcGIS, including managing, architecting, and deploying ArcGIS products.
- High-level competency and experience in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, FME, Esri JavaScript API 4.x,



and VertiGIS suite of products.
- Excellent ability to code and script with Python and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated experience in developing GIS solutions including ETL, FME, and other Esri COTS applications.
- Experience in quality assurance, test strategies, test automation, and developing test scripts.
- Knowledge of modern DevOps principles and agile software methodologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, testing, debugging, support, and maintenance skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to self-manage with a adaptable and proactive approach.

Desirable Skills

- Experience in using Geocortex and VertiGIS Studio.
- Ability to code and script with OpenLayers, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, and SQL.

Educational Qualification

- Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Surveying, or Applied Geography.
