Role Description The Senior Accountant will manage end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for projects and corporate functions. This full-time, in office role based in Mumbai will oversee preparation of financial statements, cash flow reports, and management dashboards, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting. The role includes supervising junior accounting staff, reviewing reconciliations, supporting budgeting and forecasting,



and monitoring project-level costs and revenue recognition in coordination with engineering and project management teams.

The Senior

Accountant will handle statutory compliance activities such as GST, TDS, corporate tax support, and audit coordination, maintaining proper documentation and internal controls. The position also contributes to process improvements, implementation of accounting systems or ERP modules, and supports leadership with financial analysis for decision-making.

Qualifications

- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and project-based accounting for engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of Indian taxation and regulatory compliance, including GST, TDS, corporate tax support, and statutory audit processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to lead and mentor accounting staff, coordinate with cross-functional project teams, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with a focus on accuracy and internal controls.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and stakeholder coordination.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Prior experience (typically 5+ years) in an accounting or finance role
