Role Description

This is a full-time, in office Senior Accountant role based in Goa, India.

The Senior

Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll support. The role involves preparing financial statements, monitoring project budgets and costs for construction and restoration work, and ensuring accurate recording of expenses and revenues.

Accountant will oversee compliance with local tax regulations, assist with audits, and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. Collaboration with project managers, suppliers,



and leadership will be required to provide financial insights, support planning, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core accounting principles, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Knowledge of taxation and regulatory compliance applicable to businesses operating in India, including GST and direct taxes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in spreadsheets and financial analysis tools.
- Prior experience in construction, real estate, or project-based accounting is highly beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to interpret financial data for management decision-making.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
