Most "SEO executive" job posts are still hiring for 2019. We're hiring for what search looks like now. Ideaboat Solutions is looking for an SEO + AEO specialist. Your work will show up in two places: Google, and the answers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and AI Overviews give.

What you'll own

1. AI SEO: getting our clients' content cited by LLMs, structuring pages so they can lift clean answers, and tracking AI visibility over time
2. On-page: keyword research, mapping keywords to pages, titles, metas, headers, internal links, and pushing page 2–3 rankings onto page 1
3. Off-page: white-hat links only. Outreach, digital PR, guest posts, unlinked mentions. No PBNs, no link farms. That's a hard line.
4. Technical: audits, indexing, redirects, canonicals, Core Web Vitals, schema (FAQ, Product, Article, Organization), sitemaps, robots.txt, log file basics
5. Content: briefs built on search intent and competitor gaps, and blog posts,



landing pages and pillar content that sound like a person wrote them

Must have

1. 1-2 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency experience is a plus)
2. Working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, and at least one of Ahrefs, Semrush or Screaming Frog
3. Solid understanding of technical SEO basics and schema
4. Robust written English. You'll write for Australian clients, so clarity matters.
5. A track record you can show: rankings, traffic or links you actually moved

Good to have

1. Experience with AEO/GEO or tracking AI citations
2. Basic HTML/CSS and comfort working with WordPress or Webflow
3. Experience with Australian or other international clients
4. Local SEO and Google Business Profile experience
