Job Title: School Counsellor

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and empathetic School Counsellor to support students in their academic, social-emotional and career development. The role involves counselling students, working closely with teachers and parents, and contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide academic guidance, course selection support and academic goal-setting.
- Identify students facing academic challenges and provide appropriate intervention or support.
- Provide individual and small-group counselling for personal, social and emotional concerns.
- Support students with stress, anxiety, self-esteem, conflict resolution and other wellbeing concerns.
- Handle student concerns and coordinate appropriate intervention when required.
- Guide students regarding higher education, college applications, career options and vocational opportunities.
- Organize career guidance sessions, educational workshops and related student activities.




- Work with teachers and school leadership to address behavioural and learning-related concerns.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
- Coordinate with external support agencies or professionals when required.
- Maintain student records and ensure confidentiality and privacy.

Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in School Counselling, Educational Psychology or Counselling Psychology.
- Valid certification/licence as a School Counsellor, where applicable.
- 3+ years of counselling experience in a recognised school.
- Good knowledge of student tracking/record systems and standard office applications.
- Solid communication, active listening and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive student situations professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to student wellbeing.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
