About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Operations Consultant to represent the client’s payroll operations team during an ECP implementation.

You will work with payroll, HR, finance, advantages, IT, integration teams and the implementation partner to validate payroll outcomes, resolve issues and support a successful deployment.

Key responsibilities

- Review configuration, design decisions, deliverables and implementation progress with the implementation partner.
- Coordinate requirements and decisions across business and technical teams.
- Support unit, system integration, user acceptance, regression and parallel payroll testing.
- Compare legacy payroll results against ECP, reconcile differences, investigate root causes and coordinate corrective actions.
- Validate employee data, earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, garnishments, retroactive calculations and payroll results.
- Document defects and track configuration changes and fixes through resolution.
- Prepare or review functional and technical specifications for payroll reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements.




- Test inbound and outbound integrations for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with IT and integration developers to investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Support data conversion validation, payroll balancing and reconciliation.
- Maintain testing documentation, issue logs, decision logs and status updates.
- Identify and escalate project risks, dependencies and unresolved issues.
- Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, production validation and post-go-live stabilization.
- Ensure the implementation remains aligned with business requirements and payroll operational needs.

Required qualifications

- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant payroll operations experience.
- Hands-on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll experience.
- Experience supporting payroll implementations, parallel testing and reconciliation.
- Ability to analyze payroll discrepancies and coordinate fixes across functional and technical teams.
- Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work U.S. Pacific Time hours and start within two weeks.

Preferred qualifications

- U.S. and Canadian payroll experience.
- Experience representing client payroll operations during an ECP implementation.
- Experience with payroll integrations, data conversion, cutover and production stabilization.
