• Metadata Migration to lead the assessment, migration, remediation, validation, and automation of SAP PowerDesigner models into ER/Studio. The consultant will be responsible for defining the migration strategy, executing pilot migrations, establishing repeatable migration frameworks, and providing technical leadership throughout the engagement. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise data modeling, metadata management, model conversion, automation, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will act as the primary subject matter expert for PowerDesigner to ER/Studio migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Migration Assessment &

• Strategy Assess the customer's PowerDesigner landscape, including CDM, LDM, and PDM models. Analyze model complexity, dependencies, custom properties, domains, scripts, extensions, and platform specific implementations. Identify migration risks, assumptions, constraints, and remediation requirements. Define migration approach, standards, governance, and quality controls.

Migration

Execution Lead pilot migrations to validate conversion feasibility and effort. Execute model migrations using ER/Studio MetaWizard and supporting tools. Define source-to-target mappings for metadata, domains, datatypes, relationships, keys, and custom attributes. Resolve conversion issues and implement remediation strategies for unsupported or customized constructs. Ensure consistency, traceability, and repeatability throughout the migration process. • Quality Assurance Design and execute reconciliation and validation processes. Verify structural integrity of migrated models, including entities, attributes, relationships, keys, and metadata. Identify and resolve migration defects, exceptions, and data modeling inconsistencies. Produce migration quality metrics, validation reports, and acceptance documentation. Automation &





• Acceleration Design and develop automation utilities, scripts, macros, and accelerators to reduce manual effort. Leverage ER/Studio Automation Interface and related technologies to support bulk migration and validation activities.

Experience working with large and complex enterprise data models. Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling. Strong understanding of relational database design principles. Experience working across multiple database platforms and DBMS-specific implementations. Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills. Experience leading technical workstreams and mentoring team members.
