Role: SAP Data Migration Consultant

Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid)

Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Consultant with solid expertise in SAP Data Services (BODS), data cleansing, ETL, data transformation, and SAP data migration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating legacy data into SAP ECC and working with SAP migration technologies such as IDoc, BAPI, and LSMW. The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing data migration solutions, ensuring data quality, optimizing ETL processes, and supporting successful data-loading activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute legacy data migration into SAP ERP following SAP standards, best practices, and established migration methodologies.
- Support data migration activities and development using SAP Data Services (BODS).
- Design and develop ETL jobs to extract, cleanse, validate, transform, and load data from SAP and non-SAP sources.
- Create and execute data-loading programs for SAP ECC using IDoc, BAPI, LSMW, and other SAP data migration technologies.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of SAP Data Services jobs.
- Analyze data and ETL processes to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Develop data quality routines for data cleansing, matching, validation, and deduplication.




- Develop and maintain technical and system documentation.
- Assist in preparing end-user documentation for implemented solutions.
- Prepare and communicate regular project status updates to management.
- Work closely with functional and technical teams to identify and resolve data migration issues.
- Ensure data migration activities are completed within defined timelines and project milestones.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of relevant experience in SAP data migration or a similar role.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Data Services (BODS).
- Strong experience in: Data cleansing, Data profiling, Data transformation, Data validation, Data quality management, ETL development
- Practical knowledge of SAP LSMW, IDocs, BAPIs, and other SAP data migration tools and methodologies.
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL for data analysis and processing.
- Strong understanding of data migration processes, testing, reconciliation, and validation.
- Ability to analyze complex data and troubleshoot ETL/data migration issues.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines, project milestones, and deliverables effectively.
