Sales Representative – EdTech ERP SolutionsJob Overview

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to drive the adoption of our Education ERP platform among schools, colleges, coaching institutes, universities, and other educational organizations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, understanding their operational challenges, demonstrating the ERP solution, managing the sales pipeline, and converting qualified leads into customers.

The role requires robust communication, consultative selling, relationship management, and the ability to understand and present technology solutions in the context of education.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Prospecting

- Identify and qualify potential customers across schools, colleges, universities, coaching institutes, and EdTech organizations.
- Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, referrals, events, digital channels, and outbound prospecting.
- Research prospective institutions to understand their business, academic, administrative, and technology requirements.
- Maintain and continuously update the sales pipeline and prospect database.

Consultative Sales
- Understand customer pain points related to student management, admissions, attendance, fees, examinations, communication, academics, HR, finance, and administration.
- Map customer requirements to relevant ERP modules and demonstrate how the platform can improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct discovery calls and requirement-gathering sessions with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Develop solution-oriented sales pitches rather than relying solely on product features.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional ERP modules and services.

Product Demonstration
- Conduct online and in-person demonstrations of the Education ERP platform.
- Explain product features, workflows, integrations, dashboards, reports, and administrative capabilities.
- Customize product demonstrations based on the prospect's institution type and specific business requirements.
- Clearly communicate the business value, ROI potential, efficiency improvements, and benefits of digital transformation.
- Coordinate with Product, UX, Technical,



and Implementation teams when specialized product information is required.

Sales Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, activities, follow-ups, proposals, and customer interactions in the CRM.
- Track prospects through the complete lead → qualification → demo → proposal → negotiation → closurejourney.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and ensure timely movement of opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and activity reports.
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Proposal & Negotiation
- Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, and solution documents based on customer requirements.
- Handle pricing discussions and commercial negotiations within approved guidelines.
- Address customer objections related to pricing, implementation, integrations, security, usability, and migration.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proposals accurately reflect product capabilities and implementation requirements.

Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with school owners, principals, administrators, academic heads, IT managers, finance teams, and other decision-makers.
- Understand customer feedback and communicate product improvement opportunities to internal teams.
- Work with Customer Success and Implementation teams to support a smooth transition after deal closure.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.

Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in B2B sales, SaaS sales, EdTech sales, ERP sales, or technology solution sales.
- Experience selling software solutions to schools, colleges, universities, coaching institutes, or educational organizations is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.




- Excellent presentation and product demonstration abilities.
- Consultative and solution-oriented selling approach.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills.
- Ability to understand technology products and explain them to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using CRM platforms and maintaining sales pipelines.
- Strong follow-up, relationship-building, and account-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with Product, Marketing, Implementation, Customer Success, and Engineering teams.
- Target-oriented mindset with strong ownership of sales outcomes.

Preferred Skills
- Experience selling Education ERP, SIS, LMS, CRM, or SaaS platforms.
- Understanding of education-industry workflows such as admissions, student information management, attendance, examinations, fees, communication, and academic administration.
- Experience with B2B SaaS sales cycles and enterprise/institutional sales.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, or similar tools.
- Experience conducting online product demonstrations using Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of subscription-based SaaS pricing models.
- Knowledge of digital transformation solutions for educational institutions.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, consultative seller, and technology enthusiast who can understand the challenges faced by educational institutions and demonstrate how an ERP platform can solve those challenges. You should be comfortable speaking with school owners, principals, administrators, IT heads, finance teams, and academic leaders, conducting product demonstrations, handling objections, negotiating commercial terms, and taking opportunities through to successful closure.
