Position: Safety Supervisor

Reporting To: Safety Manager / Project Manager / Site In-Charge

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Safety Supervisor to ensure safe working conditions at our construction/project site. The candidate will be responsible for implementing company safety policies, conducting regular site inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor day-to-day safety activities at the construction/project site.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, safety procedures, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
- Ensure proper use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, safety harnesses, reflective jackets, gloves, and other required equipment.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and daily safety awareness sessions for workers and staff.
- Monitor work activities including excavation, scaffolding, lifting operations, work at height, electrical work, and other high-risk activities.
- Ensure proper barricading, signage, access control, housekeeping, and safe working practices at the site.
- Verify that workers are following approved safety procedures and work permits.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, toolbox talks, training, incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
- Report accidents, incidents,



and unsafe conditions immediately to the concerned management.
- Assist in investigating accidents and identifying corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers regarding safety-related matters.
- Ensure emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, emergency exits, and safety equipment are available and properly maintained.
- Conduct emergency drills and support emergency response activities when required.
- Monitor compliance of subcontractors and labour contractors with site safety requirements.
- Stop unsafe work where there is an immediate risk to workers or property and inform the concerned authority.
- Support internal and external safety audits and inspections.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly safety reports and submit them to management.
- Ensure safety documentation and statutory records are properly maintained.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant safety certification such as NEBOSH / IOSH / ADIS / DIS / equivalent will be an advantage.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or project-site safety.
- Valuable knowledge of construction safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Basic knowledge of applicable safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to conduct safety training and toolbox talks effectively.
- Ability to identify hazards and take timely corrective action.
