Relevant Experience Needed: 7 to 15 yearsRole summary

We are looking for a challenge-driven Technical Architect to strengthen our SaaS product development and technical delivery capabilities. You will have a can-do attitude and demonstrable career progression from a software development background, with proven experience in the architecture, design and development of large and complex applications and services using Microsoft technologies (C#/.NET, SQL Server and Azure).

You will lead the technical direction of an AI-powered SaaS product focused on platform modernisation and intelligent information management, and work closely with our professional services team on Azure, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions.

Key responsibilities

Product architecture and delivery

- Lead the Proventeq product development team to deliver new modules for our AI-powered SaaS product
- Own the product architecture: multi-tenancy, security, scalability, resilience, performance, cost management and technical roadmap
- Design and maintain the product's Azure Marketplace integration, including subscription lifecycle handling and, where applicable, metered billing
- Define engineering standards, code review practice, CI/CD pipelines and environment strategy; coach and mentor developers

Solution architecture and professional services
- Work closely with the professional services team on the technical architecture and design of Azure, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions and platform modernisation projects
- Design and review content migration and modernisation patterns, for example moving content from legacy ECM systems and file shares into SharePoint / Microsoft 365, including metadata mapping, validation and governance

AI and machine learning
- Take technical lead on the appropriate use of AI/ML technologies, including large language model (LLM) and retrieval-augmented solutions,



document processing and intelligent classification
- Set practices for responsible AI, evaluation, cost control and model lifecycle management

Collaboration and commercial support
- Work within a team spread across multiple geographic locations and share knowledge on recent trends and upcoming technologies
- Support the sales team and partners in demos, webinars and training
- Contribute to proposals, technical specifications and client-facing technical discussions

Required skills and experience

- Excellent knowledge of C#/.NET, SQL Server and web technologies such as React
- Proven expertise in SaaS product development for Azure Marketplace, including integration with the SaaS Fulfillment APIs (v2), landing page and webhook handling, and subscription lifecycle management; experience with the marketplace metering service is a plus
- Good knowledge of Azure services, APIs and Azure Functions
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID: app registrations, OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect and multi-tenant single sign-on
- Experience designing cloud-native Azure architectures (for example App Service, Container Apps or AKS, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Key Vault) and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform)
- Good understanding of AI/ML technologies, ideally including building solutions with Microsoft Foundry (formerly Azure AI Foundry / Azure OpenAI), Azure AI Search and Azure AI Document Intelligence
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Graph API and SharePoint / Microsoft 365 extensibility (SPFx,



SharePoint REST or CSOM, Power Platform)
- Strong understanding of modern development methodologies and tools, including Agile, Azure DevOps (or GitHub) and automated testing
- Awareness of secure development, data protection and compliance requirements (GDPR; SOC 2 / ISO 27001 environments)
- Strong technical leadership: able to propose, design and defend technical solutions
- Expertise in producing high-quality technical documentation: technical specifications, architecture decision records and proposals
- Entrepreneurial mindset and excellent client-facing skills

Desirable skills and knowledge

- Positive knowledge of SharePoint and/or the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) domain
- Experience with SharePoint Premium (formerly Microsoft Syntex), Microsoft Purview or SharePoint Embedded
- Experience with migration from ECM or collaboration platforms such as OpenText, Documentum, FileNet, Box, Google Workspace or Lotus Notes
- Experience building AI agents or Copilot extensions
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer or Azure AI Engineer, and familiarity with the Microsoft ISV programmes (ISV Success, co-sell)
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace SaaS Accelerator reference implementation
