Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Robotics Engineer based in Chennai, with a mix of on-site work at client facilities and office, and some work-from-home flexibility.

The Robotics

Engineer will design, program, and integrate industrial robotic systems, including Mitsubishi Electric robots, to support automated manufacturing processes. Daily responsibilities include developing and testing robot control logic, configuring motion control and safety systems, participating in PLC/HMI and SCADA integration, and conducting on-site commissioning and troubleshooting.



The role involves collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, documenting system designs and test results, and providing technical support and training to customers.

The Robotics

Engineer is expected to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support Industry 4.0 and smart factory projects.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Robotics skills, including industrial robot integration, motion control, and familiarity with Mitsubishi Electric or similar robotic platforms.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including problem-solving, root cause analysis, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and system specifications.
- Candidates should possess Process Automation skills, such as PLC programming, HMI/SCADA configuration, and experience with factory automation or control systems.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including transparent technical documentation, customer interaction, and teamwork across multidisciplinary engineering groups.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills relevant to automation, such as programming in languages used for robotic control or industrial applications and basic knowledge of data acquisition or Industry 4.0 platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience in industrial automation projects, robotic cell commissioning, or manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work safely on industrial sites, manage multiple projects, and adapt to evolving technologies and customer requirements.
