Role Description The Restaurant Cashier role at THE SHANTADURGA CAFE is a full-time, on-site position based in Karnataka, India. The cashier is responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments accurately, and issuing receipts while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude. Daily tasks include handling cash and digital transactions, managing the cash register, answering phone inquiries, coordinating with the food and beverage team on order status, and assisting with packaging take-away orders.

The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized counter area, supporting customer service efforts, and following all safety, hygiene,



and company policies. The cashier works closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for every guest.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage politely and professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess Cash Handling skills, including accurate billing, managing change, and reconciling the cash drawer.
- Candidates should possess Phone Etiquette skills to handle inquiries, take orders, and communicate clearly over the phone.
- Candidates should possess basic Food & Beverage knowledge to understand the menu, answer guest questions, and coordinate orders.
