Hiring: Safety Engineer Civil & Interior Projects

- Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Engineering with Diploma in Industrial Safety, Construction Safety, NEBOSH or equivalent recognised safety qualification.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Setting (HSE) policies at project sites.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory safety regulations, client requirements and company safety standards.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards.
- Monitor safety during civil construction, interior fit-out, electrical works, HVAC installation, false ceiling works and other site activities.
- Ensure safe working practices for work at height, scaffolding, ladders, lifting operations, hot works and confined spaces.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety induction programmes and awareness sessions for employees, subcontractors and labour.
- Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.
- Prepare and maintain Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements and Permit to Work (PTW) documentation.
- Monitor fire prevention measures, firefighting equipment, emergency exits and evacuation arrangements.
- Investigate accidents,



incidents and near misses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors and client safety representatives.
- Maintain daily safety inspection reports, incident registers, training records and safety compliance documentation.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safe material storage and waste disposal at project sites.
- Conduct periodic safety audits and ensure timely closure of identified non-compliances.
- Ensure all site activities are executed without compromising safety standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in civil construction and interior fit-out projects.
- Sound knowledge of construction safety standards and statutory HSE requirements.
- Experience in commercial buildings, corporate office interiors and turnkey projects preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical safety, fire safety, working at heights, scaffolding and material handling.
- Ability to prepare safety reports, risk assessments and incident investigation reports.
- Good communication, leadership and subcontractor coordination skills.
- Ability to conduct safety training and toolbox meetings.
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation.
- Ability to independently manage safety compliance at project sites.
