Role Description The Reporter - Intern role is a full-time remote position responsible for supporting daily news coverage and storytelling across digital platforms. Interns research and pitch story ideas, conduct interviews, and gather information from diverse sources under the guidance of editors. They write and revise news articles, assist with multimedia elements such as photos, audio, or video, and help prepare content for publication on web and social media.

Day-to-day work includes monitoring news developments, verifying facts, meeting deadlines,



and collaborating with the editorial team to ensure accurate and engaging reporting. This role offers hands-on experience in a professional newsroom environment, with mentoring and feedback to help build strong journalism skills.

Qualifications

- Ability to perform Reporting and News Writing with accuracy, fairness, and attention to detail.
- Solid Writing and Communication skills, including clear, concise, and grammatically correct prose.
- Basic Multimedia skills, such as handling images, audio, or video to support digital news stories.
- Interest in journalism, current events, and public affairs, with a commitment to ethical reporting.
- Organizational skills, including time management, meeting deadlines, and working in a remote environment.
- Comfort using digital tools, online research methods, and common newsroom or content management platforms.
- Enrollment in or completion of studies in Journalism, Media, Communications, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with editors and peers, accept constructive feedback, and adapt to editorial guidelines.
