Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Retail Pharmacist located in Palghar. The pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications, verifying prescriptions for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include counseling customers on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage, while maintaining detailed and accurate patient and inventory records.

The role involves managing stock levels, checking expiry dates, coordinating with suppliers,



and supporting store operations to ensure timely service and a high standard of customer care. The pharmacist will also support health awareness initiatives, uphold quality protocols for generic medicines, and collaborate with the team to deliver an excellent in-store experience.

Qualifications

- Valid registration as a pharmacist with the appropriate state pharmacy council and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or D.Pharm) from a recognized institution; higher qualifications in pharmacy or clinical practice are an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, generic and branded medications, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and prescription verification.
- Skills in patient counseling, customer service, and clear, empathetic communication in person and over the phone.
- Ability to maintain accurate dispensing records, manage inventory, monitor expiry dates, and follow standard operating procedures.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software, digital record-keeping, and basic computer applications.
- Commitment to ethical practice, medication safety, quality standards, and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
- Attention to detail, reliability in handling controlled substances, and capability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in Palghar, including flexible schedule, weekends, or shifts as required by store operations.
- Experience in a retail pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred; knowledge of generic medicine practices
