Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Chennai.
The Quantity
Surveyor will prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
Responsibilities include monitoring project costs, performing cost analyses, updating cost plans, and preparing regular cost reports for internal and external stakeholders.
The role involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to validate quantities, track variations, and support contract administration and compliance with FIDIC or similar standards.
The Quantity
Surveyor will contribute to value engineering, risk assessment, and cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through execution and closeout.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid skills in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning.
- Candidates should possess solid experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, and measurement.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Cost Reporting and financial tracking for construction projects.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience with construction contracts (including FIDIC), tendering processes, and variation/claims management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and competence with MS Excel and quantity surveying software tools.
- Prior experience in large-scale or complex projects (hospitality, infrastructure, or residential) is an advantage.
