Qualification Degree/Diploma – Engineering in Any Discipline

Experience 10-12 Years’ experience with Transmission Line Tower in reputed Transmission Line Company

Job Responsibilities:

Applicant must be well versed with the following-

(A) Inspection of Raw Material:

- All the national & International specification relevant to steel being used on transmission line Tower.
- Inspection of Raw Material (MS/HT steel)). Communicate with re-rollers to ensure material specification meet project requirements.
- Physical Inspections of Raw Material at Re Roller Site.
- Review material through batch records & test certificates.
- Examine client inspection report to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain raw material inspection record.
- Third Party Inspection (TPI) by coordinating with the assigned inspectors.

(B) Fabrication - Must have knowledge in depth about all the components being used in transmission Line Tower, Bolt / Nuts accessory and their relevant specifications.

(C) Proto Assembly - Must have desired knowledge of Transmission Line proto Assembly.

(D) Process Improvement:

- Continuously monitor, analyze and improve quality process.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing quality process & methodologies.

(E) Inspection of Galvanized Material:

- Galvanized material finishing and inspection as per the standard namely 152629 ASTM150




- Verify zinc coating thickness and adherence to requirements as per work order specifications, covering physical appearance bulky white next deposit, blisters, black spots, flux inclusion, peeling off etc.
- Daily monitoring of process tank bath parameters.
- Manage finishing contractor manpower to optimize efficiency & productivity.
- Perform Galvanizing test during client inspection and conduct visual inspection & measure coating thickness to ensure compliance.
- Sites visit to investigate and resolve customer complaints related to galvanizing quality.

(F) Calibration certificates / Compliance & ISO Audit:

- Maintain Record of Equipment, Calibration certificates & Machine AMC and NABL PT Records.
- Maintain records of compliance for internal & external audits.
- Process Audit, ISO Audit 9001,14001, 45001 & Audit report, Recertification, Surveillance Audit and ensure all test record are maintained.
- To take corrective action based on audit observation and findings.
- Ensure all projects documentation, Quality Control Records and test results align with RITES & PGCIL specifications.

(G) NABL Laboratory – Must have knowledge about the procedure of handling NABL Lab.

(H) Relevant Issues – Depth knowledge of Bundling, Handling of Galvanized Material, Storage of Galvanized Material, Site visit etc.

(I) Ability to lead a team of Inspectors and engage in constructive dialogue with the clients and various department for seamless working.
