Role Description The Quality Control Microbiologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized microbiological testing on veterinary products, raw materials, and environmental samples to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing culture media, handling and maintaining laboratory equipment, conducting microbial counts and identification, documenting results, and assisting in investigations related to product quality deviations. The role involves close collaboration with production and quality assurance teams to support process improvements and maintain GMP+ standards.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Roorkee,



requiring a consistent presence in the laboratory and manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Quality Control skills, including familiarity with GMP/GMP+ standards and routine QC procedures.
- Candidates should possess solid Laboratory Skills, including sample preparation, aseptic techniques, and safe handling of chemicals and biological materials.
- Candidates should possess Microbiology expertise, including microbial culturing, identification, and enumeration relevant to veterinary products and feed additives.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills, including accurate data recording, interpretation of test results, and problem-solving in quality investigations.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in operating and maintaining Laboratory Equipment such as incubators, autoclaves, microscopes, and analytical instruments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Veterinary Science, or a related life science field.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, veterinary, or feed manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality protocols, and ability to work effectively in a team-based laboratory setting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting results and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
