This is a remote position.
We’re looking for a QA Engineer who can take ownership of product quality, identify issues early, and work closely with developers and product teams to deliver reliable software.
What You’ll Do
- Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify testing requirements.
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and checklists.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and usability testing across web applications.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Work closely with developers and Product Managers to investigate and resolve issues.
- Perform API testing and validate backend responses, data, and integrations.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience.
- Participate in requirement discussions and identify potential edge cases and quality risks before development is completed.
- Perform regression testing for new releases and ensure existing functionality is not affected.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, and release workflows.
- Support automation initiatives where applicable and identify opportunities to reduce repetitive manual testing.
- Take ownership of the quality of features from requirement analysis through release.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing/QA, preferably with web applications.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
- Strong experience with functional and regression testing.
- Good understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
- Basic to good understanding of SQL/database testing.
- Experience working with bug-tracking and project-management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to identify edge cases.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful test scenarios.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with developers and product teams.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Valuable to Have
- Experience with automation testing using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript or another programming language.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Experience testing SaaS products, APIs, third-party integrations, or AI-powered applications.
- Experience with performance, security, or accessibility testing.
