Role Description This is a full-time, on-site QA role based in Bengaluru focused on validating data-intensive and AI-driven systems. The professional in this position will design, develop, and execute test cases using SQL, SparkSQL, PySpark, Pandas, and Python to verify data pipelines, ETL workflows, and analytics processes.

Day-to-day responsibilities include building automated tests with Pytest, performing data quality checks, debugging complex data and code issues, and ensuring the reliability and performance of large language model (LLM) integrations. The role involves close collaboration with data engineers, ML engineers, and product teams to define test strategies, improve test coverage, and document test results and defects. The individual will also contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test frameworks, and best practices for data and AI products.

Key Responsibilities ​





- Analyze change requests and update existing MS SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and

triggers accordingly, ensuring correctness and minimal disruption to dependent applications. ​
- Debug and optimize existing stored procedures for performance and reliability. ​
- Plan and execute the migration of the database from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL, including

schema conversion, stored procedure/function rewrites, data type mapping, and data migration. ​
- Validate migrated objects and data for functional and performance parity with the source system. ​
- Write and maintain technical documentation for schema changes, migration steps, and rollback

plans. ​
- Collaborate with application developers to ensure application code compatibility with database

changes and the new PostgreSQL environment. ​
- Identify risks, dependencies, and edge cases during migration and proactively propose mitigation

approaches. ​ ​

Required Skills ​

-Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, including writing and maintaining complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers. ​

- Strong T-SQL development and debugging skills. ​
- Prior experience migrating databases from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL (schema, stored

procedures, and data). ​
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL syntax, PL/pgSQL, and differences between MS SQL Server and

PostgreSQL (data types, procedural logic, indexing, transactions). ​
- Experience with query performance tuning and troubleshooting on both platforms. ​
- Familiarity with database migration tools (e.g., pgloader, AWS SCT/DMS, Ora2Pg-equivalents, or

custom scripts). ​
- Ability to work independently, analyze change requests, and translate them into precise database
- changes.
