About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Purchase Manager with strong experience in the food industry to manage our procurement activities. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of food/raw material sourcing, vendor management, negotiations, inventory planning, and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and other food production requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, quality, delivery timelines, and contracts with vendors.
- Ensure timely availability of materials while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving and alternate sourcing opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance teams to understand material requirements.
- Raise and manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Track purchase orders, deliveries, pending requirements, and vendor commitments.
- Ensure purchased materials meet the required quality and food-safety standards.
- Handle vendor issues related to quality, shortages, delays,



or incorrect supplies and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain proper records of vendors, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documentation.
- Regularly evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, service, and delivery timelines.
- Plan procurement based on production requirements, consumption patterns, and inventory levels.
- Maintain an updated database of approved vendors and alternate suppliers.
- Work closely with the finance team for invoice verification and payment coordination.

Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably within the food, FMCG, bakery, food manufacturing, or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and related supplies.
- Proven experience in vendor management and price negotiation.
- Good understanding of inventory management and procurement planning.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with multiple teams and manage procurement timelines effectively.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and procurement-related tools/software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced food manufacturing environment.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹66,000.00 per month
