Key Responsibilities

- Sourcing &
- Vendor Management

- Vendor Identification: Source and onboard qualified manufacturers and suppliers for specialized highway lighting components.

- Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate vendors based on technical capacity, quality certifications (e.g., ISO, CE, local government approvals), pricing, and delivery reliability.

- Relationship Management: Maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to secure priority manufacturing slots and favorable credit terms.

Procurement &

- Negotiation

- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate commercial terms, price reductions, payment milestones, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for bulk material orders.

- Tendering Support: Collaborate with the estimation team during bidding phases to secure competitive vendor quotes for project tenders.

- Purchase Orders: Review and authorize high-value Purchase Orders (POs) ensuring accuracy in technical specifications and delivery timelines.

Technical Supply Chain Execution

- Bill of Materials (BOM) Review: Analyze project engineering drawings and BOMs to plan procurement phases.

- Material Standardization: Ensure all procured materials comply strictly with national highway authorities, local government bodies, and electrical standards.

- Logistics Coordination: Oversee the transit of oversized cargo (like high-mast poles) and sensitive electronics to remote highway project sites.

Financial &

- Quality Control

- Budget Tracking: Monitor procurement spending against allocated project budgets to prevent cost overruns.





- Quality Assurance Liaison: Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) teams and third-party inspectors for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) before material dispatch.

- Inventory Control: Partner with site storekeepers to manage optimal inventory levels, minimizing cash tied up in material storage.

Required Skills &

- QualificationsEducation &
- Experience

- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

- Experience: 5 to 8+ years of procurement experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years specifically managing street lighting, power distribution, or highway infrastructure projects.

Technical Competencies

- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of LED luminaires, smart street lighting automation, high-mast poles, underground cables (XLPE), distribution transformers, and Feeder Pillars/APFC panels.

- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Excel for data analysis.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with National Highway Authority procurement guidelines and electrical safety standards.

Soft Skills

- Solid commercial acumen and sharp negotiation capabilities.

- Exceptional communication skills to bridge technical engineers, suppliers, and government auditors.

- Ability to work under tight project deadlines and handle logistics crises calmly.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
