Python Developer (ETL & REST API Integration Focus)

6 months contract role (Remote/Hybrid)

Need support from 4.00 pm to 1:00 pm IST

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with strong experience in building data pipelines and integrating systems using REST APIs. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in Python development, excellent analytical and debugging skills, and a creative, problem-solving mindset to design efficient and scalable solutions.

Required Experience

- 5+ years of overall IT experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python development
- 2+ years of experience working on REST API integrations using Python

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts
- Build and manage REST API integrations between internal and external systems
- Consume and integrate with APIs (authentication, pagination, error handling, retries)
- Develop and optimize ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing
- Parse and process various data formats including:

- CSV files,
- Word documents

-JSON data
- Automate data workflows and system integrations using Python
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using standard and third-party Python libraries
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve integration and data pipeline issues




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure data integrity, reliability, and performance across integrations and ETL processes

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in Python (core concepts, scripting, libraries)
- Hands-on experience with REST API integrations (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
- Experience with API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, API keys, tokens, etc.)
- Strong understanding of ETL processes using Python
- Experience working with file parsing and data transformation (CSV, JSON, DOC/DOCX)
- Familiarity with Python libraries such as requests, pandas, etc.
- Solid understanding of databases
- Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries
- Robust analytical and debugging skills
- Ability to think out-of-the-box and solve complex problems

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

- Experience designing or building REST APIs (Flask, FastAPI, etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Familiarity with message queues or event-driven architectures
- Experience working in Agile environments
