Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling:

- Develop Master Schedules: Translate sales forecasts and customer orders into actionable, day-to-day manufacturing schedules.
- Capacity Utilization: Evaluate plant capacity, machinery, and labor availability to ensure maximum efficiency without overloading production.
- Workflow Optimization: Identify potential bottlenecks in the manufacturing line and adjust schedules accordingly to resolve delays.

Inventory Control:

- Stock Monitoring: Track inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Reorder Points: Determine ideal reorder points and safety stock levels based on vendor lead times and demand patterns.
- Auditing & Reconciling: Conduct routine physical inventory counts and reconcile them with ERP or computer records to ensure accuracy.
- Inventory Valuation & Methods: Implement standard supply chain methodologies like FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or Just-in-Time (JIT) to manage storage and limit excess inventory.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

- Procurement: Collaborate with purchasing teams to ensure timely delivery of required raw materials and components.
- Sales & Customer Service: Provide accurate delivery timelines and align production output with changing market demands.
- Quality Assurance & Maintenance: Coordinate with QA to align product testing with production schedules, and with maintenance to ensure machinery is serviced with minimal downtime.
