About the Role

Responsible for the effective and timely procurement of raw materials, chemicals, consumables, and other materials required for smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute procurement activities as per approved purchase requisitions
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors
- Obtain quotations, perform comparative analysis, and negotiate prices and terms
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with suppliers
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality Control, and Accounts departments
- Ensure materials comply with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor documentation, and MIS reports
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory regulations

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Commerce / Science / Management or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchase function




- Experience in chemical or manufacturing industry will be preferred

Skills & Competencies
- Robust negotiation and vendor management skills
- Effective communication and coordination abilities
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office (especially MS Excel)
- Analytical and documentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines

Other Requirements
- Knowledge of chemical raw materials and procurement processes is desirable
- Understanding of GST and basic statutory compliance will be an added advantage
