Job Overview

We are looking for a Purchase Assistant to support our raw material procurement and sourcing operations. The role will involve market/mandi visits, vendor development, price negotiation, quality coordination, and tracking procurement activities through ERP.

Key Responsibilities

- Visit mandis and markets to identify and source raw materials.
- Identify, onboard, and develop new vendors/suppliers.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Negotiate prices, quality, quantity, and delivery terms with suppliers.
- Understand and coordinate raw material quality inspection.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely material supply and delivery.
- Track purchase orders, material movement, and procurement status through ERP.
- Monitor market prices, availability, and sourcing opportunities.
- Coordinate with Quality, Operations, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams.
- Maintain accurate purchase, vendor, pricing, and material-related records.
- Handle multiple procurement activities and ensure timely closure of requirements.

Required Skills

- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.




- Basic understanding of raw material quality and specifications.
- Knowledge of agri commodities and mandi markets preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic ERP operations.
- Valuable coordination, follow-up, and multitasking abilities.
- Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain management.
- Willingness to travel for market, mandi, and vendor visits.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in purchase, procurement, raw material sourcing, agri commodities, or supply chain.
- Candidates with experience in mandi procurement, vendor development, or raw material sourcing will be preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a combination of office and field-based roles.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
