JOB VACANCY – MEDICAL & PSYCHIATRIC SOCIAL WORKER

Position: Medical & Psychiatric Social Worker

Experience: Freshers and Experienced Candidates

Work Setting: Psychiatric Rehabilitation Centre

Job Responsibilities The selected candidate will be responsible for:

- Assisting in the rescue, admission and rehabilitation and restoration of psychiatric patients.
- Conducting psychosocial assessments, case history and regular patient observations.
- Monitoring patients' behaviour, mood, activities and overall progress.
- Providing individual counselling as appropriate to the role.
- Conducting group activities, therapeutic activities, recreational activities and psychoeducation programmes.
- Maintaining case files, patient records, progress notes, reports and other documentation.
- Coordinating with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and other members of the team.
- Communicating with patients' families and supporting family tracing, family contact and restoration procedures.
- Preparing monthly reports, activity reports and other official documentation.




- Undertaking other social-work and rehabilitation-related responsibilities assigned by the organization.

Educational Qualification
- MSW Social Work with Medical & Psychiatric Social Work specialization preferred.
- Candidates with relevant psychiatric rehabilitation experience will be preferred.
- Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

- Patience and empathy in working with psychiatric patients.
- Basic understanding of psychiatric disorders and rehabilitation.
- Ability to conduct group activities and engage patients.
- Good observation and documentation skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic computer knowledge and report-writing skills.
- Willingness to work in a residential psychiatric rehabilitation setting.
