About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and customer-focused Property Manager to manage daily operations of our heritage homestay in Sakleshpur. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth guest experiences, maintain the property to high standards, supervise staff, and uphold the warm, hospitable environment that defines our stay.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Management

- Handle end-to-end check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel cared for throughout their stay.
- Address guest queries, requests, and complaints promptly with a positive attitude.
- Coordinate with the kitchen/housekeeping teams to fulfil guest requirements.
- Ensure guest feedback is collected and recorded for improvement.

Staff Supervision

- Ensure staff report on time and follow their shift schedules.
- Monitor performance of housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance teams.
- Conduct routine team briefings to delegate daily tasks.
- Ensure staff maintain good behaviour, grooming, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
- Train new staff as required.

Property Maintenance & Cleanliness

- Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces are kept clean.
- Conduct regular property inspections for upkeep of:
- Rooms and bathrooms
- Common sitting areas
- Garden/estate surroundings
- Kitchen and storage
- Ensure all guest amenities are in working order.
- Coordinate with service providers for repairs, pest control, gardening, plumbing, electrical issues, etc.
- Maintain stock of supplies (linen, toiletries, cleaning materials) and raise purchase requests when needed.

Operational Management

- Maintain accurate records of bookings, occupancy, payments, and guest information.




- Coordinate with online booking platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.) when required.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports including:
- Guest check-ins/outs
- Staff attendance
- Issues and resolutions
- Inventory updates
- Ensure safety protocols, including fire safety and emergency procedures, are followed.

Hospitality & Experience

- Uphold the warm, friendly environment of the homestay.
- Assist in planning small activities for guests (estate walk, bonfire arrangement, local guidance, etc.).
- Ensure the heritage value and storytelling of the property is maintained and shared with guests.
- Represent the property professionally at all times.

Financial & Administrative Support

- Assist with petty cash management and expense tracking.
- Help in procurement of groceries, maintenance materials, and other essentials.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate when required.

Requirements

- Prior experience in hospitality / homestay / resort operations preferred.
- Strong communication and people-handling skills.
- Positive organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping and maintenance routines.
- Ability to manage teams effectively.
- Comfortable living independently in a remote/nature environment (if live-in).
- Must be responsible, trustworthy, and service-oriented.
