Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Project Manager at MountBox Design Studio.

The Project

Manager will oversee digital and branding projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Daily responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional design and marketing teams, managing project plans and schedules, tracking progress, and removing obstacles to keep work on track. The role also involves communicating with clients, gathering and clarifying requirements, preparing status reports, and aligning deliverables with agreed objectives and brand guidelines.

Manager will continuously review workflows, identify risks, and improve processes to support efficient, reliable project execution.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong QA/Software Testing domain experience to lead and deliver technology projects from initiation through successful completion.

The ideal candidate should have strong project management expertise along with a good understanding of QA processes,



software testing, UAT, defect management, release cycles, and quality assurance practices. This is a Project Management role, not a hands-on QA/Test Engineer position.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring project objectives, timelines, and quality expectations are met.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, objectives, and project priorities.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and delivery timelines.
- Assign and monitor tasks across cross-functional teams, including QA, development, business analysis, and other technical teams.
- Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
- Coordinate and host project meetings, document discussions, and circulate meeting notes with clear action items and timelines.
- Provide regular project status reports to stakeholders and management.
- Monitor project progress across all phases and proactively address delays, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate with QA/testing teams to ensure appropriate test planning, execution, UAT, defect resolution, and release readiness.
- Understand and monitor QA processes including functional testing, regression testing, UAT, defect management, and quality gates.
- Facilitate communication between QA, development, product, business, and client teams.
- Ensure testing and quality-related activities are aligned with project schedules and release milestones.




- Manage stakeholder communication regarding project status, changes, risks, issues, defects, and delivery milestones.
- Manage resource capacity and project budget.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and delivery practices.
- Conduct post-project reviews, capture lessons learned, and implement process improvements.

Mandatory skills and Experience

- 6–8 years of strong Project Management experience.
- Strong experience managing software/IT projects in the QA, Software Testing, or Quality Assurance domain.
- Experience working with QA/testing teams and software delivery teams.
- Valuable understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA processes, UAT, defect management, and release management.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as:
- JIRA
- Confluence
- Smartsheet
- Microsoft Office
- SharePoint
- Strong experience in project planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, risk/issue/dependency management, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum or other project management methodologies.
- Strong communication, coordination, and client/stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing resource capacity and project budgets.
- Must be willing and able to work in the 2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST.

Preferred Profile

Candidates with experience as a Project Manager, QA Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, IT Project Manager, Delivery Manager, or Test/QA Manager with strong project management responsibilities are preferred.

- Note: This is not a hands-on QA/Test Engineer position. The requirement is for a Project Manager who has substantial experience managing projects involving QA/testing teams and software quality processes.
