Job Summary

What are we looking for We seek a agile professional with 3-5 years of experience to lead our data and AI-driven projects for the public good. This role involves working closely with civil societies and non-profits, government partners (senior bureaucrats, ministries and various departments), industry experts and multilateral institutions, as well as managing a multidisciplinary internal team of technologists, data strategists, domain experts, designers and researchers, to ensure high-quality execution of impact-driven projects. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating public sector environments, a strong understanding of data and technology systems, and a keen ability to translate strategic goals into executable project plans.

In this role, you will be giving 25% of your time towards exploring new project opportunities and supporting scaling or expansion of initiatives, 65% towards managing and implementing ongoing projects, and the remaining 10% on broader organisational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

- Plan and manage capacity-building cohorts from outreach and onboarding through delivery, evaluation and handover. Maintain work plans, schedules, budgets, project trackers, risk logs and clear ownership of tasks across multiple workstreams. Coordinate internal teams, facilitators and external partners to keep activities and deliverables on schedule. Anticipate recruitment, engagement and delivery risks, and develop practical backup plans.

- Build relationships with nonprofits, funders and ecosystem organisations to support outreach and recruitment. Manage applications, selection,

onboarding and regular communication with participating organisations. Serve as the primary operational contact for participants, responding to queries and connecting them with the right technical or learning support. Monitor participation, follow up where engagement drops and help create opportunities for peer learning.

- Delivery and Quality Management: Organise virtual sessions, in-person workshops and mentoring activities, including logistics, materials, access and facilitator schedules. Coordinate with the curriculum lead and subject experts to ensure sessions and learning materials are ready on time. Support baseline assessments, feedback collection and end-line evaluation.

Maintain accurate attendance and engagement records. Prepare progress updates, meeting notes and documentation required for reporting and future reuse of the programme.

- Field Engagement and Travel: Coordinate with participating organisations and local partners during workshops and field activities. Travel for programme activities when required outside of Delhi if need be.

Requirements

- At least 3 to 5 years of experience managing cohorts, training programmes, partnerships or multi-stakeholder initiatives, preferably in the nonprofit or social impact sector.

- Strong understanding of digital products,

data and AI tools, including familiarity with relevant vocabulary, use of AI tools, product development cycles, APIs, data visualisation trends, and commonly used tools.

- Understanding of data governance, open data, data privacy, civic technology, and public policy.

- Strong planning, coordination, documentation and problem-solving skills, with experience managing several activities at once.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with partners, participants and multidisciplinary teams.

- Hands-on familiarity with tools like G Suite, Slack, spreadsheets, shared documents, forms, virtual meeting tools and project management platforms to track delivery and report progress.

- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-stakeholder initiatives with a focus on impact and delivery.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with experience handling on-ground complexities and government interactions.
