Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Tamil Nadu, India, responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations in a high-volume, precision-driven environment. This role includes planning and scheduling production, managing shop-floor teams, and ensuring that output meets quality, safety, and delivery targets.

The Production

Manager will coordinate material availability, machine utilization, and maintenance activities, while monitoring key performance indicators and implementing corrective actions where needed. They will work closely with quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive process optimization,



cost efficiency, and adherence to customer specifications. The role also involves leading continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining compliance with ISO and other relevant standards, and fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, and teamwork on the production floor.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong production planning and control skills, including capacity planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Candidates should possess skills in manufacturing operations management, such as shop-floor supervision, workflow optimization, and coordination with maintenance and materials teams.
- Candidates should possess quality and process improvement skills, including familiarity with lean manufacturing, Kaizen, basic problem-solving tools, and adherence to automotive quality standards.
- Candidates should possess leadership and people management skills, including team mentoring, performance management, and effective conflict resolution.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and supply chain stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant diploma with substantial experience may be considered.
- Experience in automotive component manufacturing, rubber or polymer processing, or precision engineering environments will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, ISO/TS or IATF standards, and basic ERP or manufacturing software systems will be beneficial.
