PRODUCTION MANAGER

Position: Production Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, organized, and experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage day-to-day production operations. The candidate will be responsible for planning production activities, monitoring output and quality, managing inventory and stock records, coordinating with staff, and ensuring that production targets are achieved efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Production Management

- Plan, supervise, and monitor day-to-day production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved according to the planned schedule.
- Allocate work and responsibilities to production staff.
- Monitor manpower, equipment, raw materials, and other production requirements.
- Maintain daily production records and operational reports.

1. Inventory & Stock Management

- Maintain accurate records of raw materials, consumables, finished goods, and other inventory.
- Monitor daily stock receipts, consumption, wastage, and closing stock.
- Prepare and maintain stock registers and inventory reports.
- Coordinate with the purchase and stores teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and identify shortages or excess inventory.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.

1. Quality Control

- Monitor the quality of raw materials and finished products.
- Ensure production activities comply with established quality standards and procedures.
- Identify quality issues and take corrective action in coordination with the concerned team.
- Monitor wastage, rejection, and production losses and work towards reducing them.
- Maintain quality inspection and production-related records.

Excel & Data Management

- Should have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare daily production sheets, stock statements, consumption reports, wastage reports, and MIS reports.
- Maintain production and inventory data systematically using Excel.
- Use basic Excel formulas, filters, sorting, tables, and reporting functions.
- Analyze production and inventory data to identify variances and operational issues.

1. Reporting & MIS

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Maintain production versus target reports.
- Prepare inventory and consumption reports.
- Track material usage, wastage, productivity, and production efficiency.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding production status, inventory position, quality issues, and operational requirements.

1. PowerPoint & Presentation Skills

- Should have basic to good knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Prepare professional presentations on production performance, inventory status, quality issues, operational improvements, and monthly performance.
- Present production-related data and reports clearly to management.

1. Team Coordination

- Supervise and coordinate with production workers and other operational staff.
- Ensure proper communication between production, stores, purchase, quality, and management teams.




- Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Address day-to-day operational issues and escalate major issues to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate/Diploma in Production, Operations, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in production, operations, inventory, manufacturing, catering, food production, or a similar environment will be preferred.
- Robust knowledge of MS Excel and data management.
- Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of inventory and stock management.
- Ability to maintain daily production and consumption records.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and team-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

The candidate should be comfortable working with Excel-based production and inventory systems, coordinating with staff, monitoring quality, maintaining accurate records, and providing regular reports to management.
