Role Description The Production Engineer role at L&T; Valves is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanchipuram. The role involves planning and overseeing production activities, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring that output meets safety, quality, and delivery standards.

The Production

Engineer will monitor daily production metrics, analyze data to resolve bottlenecks or deviations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams such as quality, maintenance, and supply chain.





Responsibilities include implementing production plans, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining documentation related to process parameters, test results, and compliance. The role also requires active participation in problem-solving on the shop floor and contributing to lean and digital manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Production Engineering and Production Planning.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data and optimize processes.
- Candidates should possess experience in Quality Control and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams and reporting.
- Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Production, or related field) and experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably valves or heavy engineering.
- Familiarity with CNC machining, industrial testing, and digital manufacturing or MES platforms is beneficial.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and occupational health and safety practices is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Kanchipuram, adapt to fast-paced operations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
