About the RoleSredhya Exports Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Manager who can take ownership of our entire production function and help us scale manufacturing capacity significantly. We are looking for someone who can build and manage manpower, improve operator productivity, set up efficient production systems, control quality and achieve higher daily output.

The person will be responsible for taking production from the current setup to a stable, scalable and target-driven manufacturing operation.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Execution

- Plan daily, weekly and monthly production according to order requirements.
- Set realistic production targets for operators, lines and departments.
- Monitor actual vs planned production every day.
- Identify bottlenecks and take immediate corrective action.
- Improve line balancing, workflow and machine utilization.
- Ensure orders are completed within planned timelines.

Manpower Development & Recruitment

- Take ownership of building the production workforce.
- Recruit and arrange skilled operators, helpers, checkers, pressmen and other production manpower.
- Develop relationships with local manpower sources, contractors and operator networks.
- Build a reliable pool of operators for regular and peak production requirements.
- Identify skilled operators and allocate them to operations where they can achieve maximum productivity.
- Implement suitable salary, incentive and piece-rate systems wherever applicable.
- Reduce dependency on individual operators through cross-training and multi-skilling.

Production Scaling





- Develop a transparent plan to increase daily production capacity.
- Improve productivity without compromising quality.
- Establish standard operation methods and production targets.
- Introduce systems for measuring pieces/hour, operator efficiency, rejection, rework and downtime.
- Plan manpower and machine requirements for increasing order volumes.
- Develop the factory's capability to handle larger production quantities.

Quality Control

- Work closely with the quality team to reduce defects and rework.
- Ensure measurements, stitching, construction and finishing meet buyer requirements.
- Identify recurring production defects and implement corrective actions.
- Establish inline and end-line quality checkpoints.

Factory Operations

- Coordinate with cutting, sewing, finishing, checking and packing.
- Ensure proper movement of bundles/WIP between departments.
- Monitor machine downtime and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain production records and daily MIS.
- Ensure proper discipline and productivity on the factory floor.

Cost & Efficiency

- Control production costs through better manpower utilization and productivity.
- Reduce idle time, rework, rejection and unnecessary WIP.




- Recommend improvements in machinery, manpower and production processes.
- Work with management on production costing and capacity planning.

Candidate Requirements
- 15–20 years of experience in garment manufacturing/apparel production.
- Strong experience in woven garments, preferably.
- Strong understanding of sewing operations and garment construction.
- Proven experience managing operators and production teams.
- Must have the ability to recruit and mobilize production manpower.
- Experience with production planning, line balancing and productivity improvement.
- Ability to work hands-on on the factory floor.
- Strong understanding of quality control and production bottlenecks.
- Experience with incentive/piece-rate production systems will be an advantage.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a growing manufacturing company where systems are still being developed.
