Job Summary

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our Mac AV Endpoint team, responsible for the design, development, optimization, and long-term stability of our core endpoint modules. This role requires deep expertise in system-level programming, strong ownership of critical components, and the ability to drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across platforms.

You will work on high-performance, security-critical code paths that run on millions of endpoints and directly impact product quality and customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end design and development of endpoint components (websecurity, real time protection, device control etc) and new features in Mac endpoint.
- Drive performance optimization initiatives to improve CPU, memory, and I/O overhead
- Debug complex issues including deadlocks, race conditions, crashes, and memory leaks
- Lead root cause analysis for customer escalations and production issues
- Collaborate with QA, threat research, driver, and platform teams to deliver high-quality releases
- Review code, enforce secure coding and performance best practices, and mentor senior engineers
- Participate in architectural discussions and influence long-term endpoint modules roadmap
Ensure backward compatibility and stability in legacy and evolving codebases

- Strong hands-on expertise in C / C
- Strong in Objective-c.
- System/Network Extension development/debugging
- Strong in macOS application/libraries debugging.
- Good understanding of macOS Internals.
- Strong experience in multi-threaded, concurrent programming
- Advanced debugging skills using GDB, strace, crash dumps, and logs
- Proven experience in performance profiling and tuning (CPU, memory, I/O)
- Experience working with large, complex, and legacy codebases
System Performance Analysis and Production Debugging

- Nice / Valuable to have skills

- Cross-platform development experience (macOS /Windows/Linux)
Proven experience in Make file, Git and Bitbucket
