Balachandran invites applications from highly motivated researchers for a Postdoctoral Fellow position to undertake interdisciplinary research in advanced polymer materials, high-performance composites, sustainable polymers, smart materials, and functional polymer systems.
The selected candidate will contribute to ongoing and recent research projects addressing both fundamental scientific challenges, technology-oriented applications and sustainable materials technologies.
Research Areas
Research areas include polymer blends, nano- and multiscale composites, high-performance polymer composites, sustainable chemicals and polymers from biomass, polymer for energy applications, polymer nanodielectrics, multifunctional polymer coatings, smart polymers, including self-healing and intelligent polymers, sustainable and recycled materials for the polymer industry.
Responsibilities
- Design,
synthesize / process and characterize polymers and polymer composites for functional applications.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, prepare technical reports, and publish research findings in high-impact SCI-indexed journals.
- Contribute to developing research proposals, intellectual property development, scientific publications and technology translation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams and external academic/industrial partners.
- Mentor and guide students involved in related research activities.
