Electrical Engineer – PLC Programming & Industrial Automation

1. Job Purpose

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in PLC programming, electrical panel design, machine automation, commissioning and troubleshooting. The candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating and commissioning electrical and control systems for industrial automation projects.

1. Key Responsibilities

PLC & Automation

- Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial machines and automation systems.
- Work with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen-Bradley, Delta or equivalent.
- Develop HMI screens, alarms, recipes, data displays and machine-control sequences.
- Configure and troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, stepper drives, sensors and actuators.
- Establish communication between PLC, HMI, robots, vision systems, drives and other automation equipment.
- Develop machine sequencing, interlocks, safety logic and fault-handling routines.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, installation and commissioning activities.

Electrical Design

- Prepare electrical control-panel designs and electrical schematics.
- Select appropriate MCBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays, SMPS, PLCs, I/O modules, drives and other control components.
- Prepare I/O lists, cable schedules, terminal plans and panel layouts.
- Understand industrial control-panel wiring, earthing and electrical safety requirements.
- Coordinate panel fabrication, wiring and testing.

Machine Integration

- Integrate PLCs with SCARA/6-axis robots, machine vision systems, screwdrivers, feeders, pneumatic systems and sensors.
- Interface automation equipment using Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, RS-232/485 and other industrial communication protocols.




- Support development of automated inspection, assembly, handling and process machines.

Commissioning & Troubleshooting

- Install and commission machines at customer locations.
- Diagnose electrical, PLC, sensor, communication and automation-related problems.
- Perform machine testing and validation.
- Provide technical support during production trials and customer acceptance.
- Prepare commissioning reports and technical documentation.

1. Required Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and control circuits.
- Hands-on PLC programming experience.
- Knowledge of HMI programming.
- Knowledge of VFD/servo drive configuration.
- Ability to read and prepare electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of industrial sensors, solenoid valves, pneumatic systems and safety devices.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols.
- Basic knowledge of robotics and machine vision will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent electrical-design software is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot independently using electrical drawings, PLC diagnostics and measuring instruments.

1. Education & Experience

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.

Experience:

2–5 years in industrial automation, machine building, system integration or manufacturing automation.

Freshers with strong practical PLC knowledge and relevant project experience may also be considered for junior positions.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
