Role Description The PLC Trainer will design and deliver structured training programs on PLC and related industrial automation systems to students and working professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and training materials, conducting classroom and lab sessions, demonstrating PLC programming and troubleshooting, and guiding learners through practical projects and simulations. The role involves assessing learner performance, providing constructive feedback, and updating training content to align with current industry standards and technologies.
The PLC Trainer will collaborate with other trainers and the academy management to improve course quality and support placement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Salem.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid technical skills in PLC programming, SCADA, HMI, DCS, and industrial automation systems.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with industrial networks, control panels, instrumentation, and related hardware.
- Candidates should possess clear communication, presentation, and classroom management skills for effective training delivery.
- Candidates should possess curriculum development, documentation, and basic report-writing skills for training materials.
- Candidates should possess the ability to mentor learners, provide structured feedback, and support problem-solving in lab environments.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering are beneficial.
- Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or automation engineer in industrial environments is an advantage.
- Comfort with using computers, basic office applications, and automation software tools for teaching and documentation is preferred.
