Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Plant Head to lead and manage the complete plant operations of a forging manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, safety and operational excellence targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Overall responsibility for plant operations, production, quality, maintenance and manufacturing performance.
- Plan and monitor daily/monthly production as per customer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Manage forging processes, press/hammer forging, heat treatment, trimming, machining and related operations.
- Drive productivity improvement, capacity utilization and reduction of rejection, rework and process losses.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements and QMS procedures.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores, Purchase, HR & Safety teams.
- Monitor plant KPIs including OEE, productivity, rejection, downtime, OTIF delivery, cost and manpower utilization.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and minimum machine downtime.
- Maintain high standards of industrial safety, statutory compliance and workplace discipline.




- Develop and motivate plant manpower and strengthen team performance.
- Coordinate with senior management for CAPEX, cost control, capacity planning and new project implementation.
- Handle customer audits, internal audits and corrective/preventive actions as required.
- Prepare and review regular MIS and plant performance reports for management.

Candidate Profile

- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in a forging/manufacturing industry, preferably with experience in a plant leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of forging manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems and maintenance coordination.
- Experience in handling manpower, production targets, cost control and cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 5S, TPM and Lean Manufacturing will be preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills.
- Candidates with experience in Automotive Forging / Precision Forging / Closed-Die Forging will be preferred.
