About the Role
We are looking for a Planning Manager Production planning & Supply planning to manage production and supply planning across manufacturing units, ensuring optimum product availability, inventory efficiency and timely fulfilment of domestic and export requirements.
The role will work closely with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Sales, Logistics and external manufacturing partners to translate demand requirements into effective production plans while balancing capacity, inventory, materials and manpower constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and release weekly production plans across internal and external manufacturing units.
- Manage production planning for domestic and export markets, covering both Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure production plan adherence.
- Finalise production schedules for MTO requirements in line with agreed service levels.
- Monitor and manage Finished Goods (FG) inventory and Days of Inventory within defined targets.
- Coordinate with plants to ensure timely execution of export, institutional and other MTO orders.
- Work closely with Logistics teams for export dispatch planning and order fulfilment.
- Support timely launches of Current Product Development (NPD) and promotional products.
- Conduct weekly and monthly reviews of planned vs. actual production output.
- Manage short-term and long-term capacity and manpower planning.
- Provide supply-side inputs and highlight key challenges during monthly S&OP; / SNOP reviews.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual MIS related to planning performance and efficiency.
- Support preparation of the annual production plan and factory capacity requirements.

- DIFOT Delivery In Full, On Time for finished goods.
- Finished Goods inventory days.
- Stock freshness and adherence to shelf-life targets.
- Timely execution of promotional and NPD launch plans.
- Export order lead time and dispatch adherence.
- Production plan adherence and overall planning efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Education
- MBA in Operations / Supply Chain or B.E.
- Specialisation or experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning or Customer Service within Supply Chain.
- Additional certification in Supply Chain Management would be an advantage.
Experience
- 23 years of relevant experience in:
- Supply Chain Planning
- Production Planning
- Supply & Distribution Planning
- Inventory Planning
- Experience in the FMCG industry is mandatory.
- Exposure to MTS and MTO planning, manufacturing coordination and inventory management would be preferred.
- Experience working with multiple manufacturing units, external manufacturers or export requirements would be an advantage.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should have strong planning and analytical skills, be comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders and have the ability to balance service levels, inventory, capacity and production constraints. Strong communication, problem-solving and execution skills are essential for this role.
