About the Role

We are looking for a PHP Developer to join our engineering team and help build and maintain reliable, scalable web applications. You will work on new features, improve existing codebases, integrate third-party services, and turn business requirements into clean technical solutions. This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, writes maintainable code, and wants to grow in a cooperative setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP.
- Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs.
- Work with MySQL or other RDBMS databases, writing and optimizing queries.
- Build new features and enhance existing applications.
- Debug and resolve application issues promptly.
- Work with existing codebases to improve functionality and performance.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment.
- Use Git for source-code management and collaboration.
- Understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- 2-3 years of hands-on PHP development experience.
- Strong knowledge of PHP and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Experience with Laravel, CodeIgniter, or another PHP framework.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL and SQL queries.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.




- Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
- Good understanding of Git and version control workflows.
- Experience with Composer for dependency management.
- Basic understanding of Linux and Apache/Nginx.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of web application security principles.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

- Experience with SaaS or enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience with third-party API integrations.
- Experience with payment gateways, SMS, email, or similar integrations.
- Knowledge of Docker.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Redis, caching, queues, or background jobs.
- Experience with database and application performance optimization.
- Knowledge of OWASP security practices.
- Exposure to AI/LLM API integration.
