About the Role

Smile Loft Dental is hiring an experienced Patient Statement Specialist / Team Lead to own our patient statement and collections process. You will manage patient AR, lead a team of collection specialists, and handle sensitive billing conversations with professionalism and empathy.

This is a permanent work-from-home position for a dental RCM professional who knows patient collections inside and out.

Do not apply unless you meet both of the following:

- 5+ years of dental RCM experience specifically in patient collections and patient statements. Insurance billing only, medical billing, or general front-office experience does not qualify for this role.
- Excellent, explicit, professional spoken and written English. This role involves daily patient calls and team leadership, so strong communication skills are essential.

What You'll Do
- Prepare, review, and send accurate patient statements on a regular cycle
- Work patient AR aging reports (30/60/90/120+ days) and prioritize high-value accounts
- Conduct outbound collection calls, emails, and texts in a professional, compliant manner
- Set up and negotiate patient payment plans per practice policy
- Resolve statement discrepancies, billing disputes, credit balances, and refunds
- Identify root causes of AR delays and coordinate corrections with posting and insurance teams
- Lead, coach, and support the patient collections team,



including setting targets and monitoring productivity and quality
- Act as the escalation point for complex accounts and patient complaints
- Report on collections, AR aging, and statement performance
- Improve SOPs, scripts, and workflows to increase collection rates and reduce days in AR

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of dental RCM experience in patient collections and patient statements (dental-specific experience is required)
- Robust knowledge of dental AR management, including aging analysis and insurance vs. patient responsibility
- Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising a team (or acting as a senior lead)
- Hands-on experience with dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or Curve Dental
- Understanding of dental insurance, EOBs, CDT codes, and patient payment workflows
- Working knowledge of HIPAA and fair debt collection practices (FDCPA)
- Excellent verbal and written English communication and a polished phone presence
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

Nice to Have
- DSO or multi-location practice experience
- Experience building collections dashboards or KPI reports
- Healthcare revenue cycle or dental billing certification

Pay: ₹115,000.00 - ₹144,000.00 per month
