Role Description The Part-time Accountant will support clients by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with monthly and quarterly closing activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include recording transactions, reviewing expenses and revenues, preparing basic financial reports, and supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. The role also involves ensuring compliance with standard accounting practices, organizing supporting documentation,



and communicating with internal team members to resolve discrepancies.

This is a part-time, remote role that requires consistent availability during agreed business hours and the ability to manage workload independently.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in general accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and maintain accurate and organized records.
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- High attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and reliability in meeting deadlines.
- Experience supporting small businesses, startups, or emerging managers is beneficial.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
